Dennis Freeman has been preparing U.S. Income Tax Returns, and providing tax advise,  for American expatriates for over twenty five years. 

He has both spoken to professional groups about expatriate taxation and written articles in professional journals on the subject.                                                                                                                                       

Dennis Freeman has over thirty five years of tax experience.  Dennis's background includes time in a "Big Four" professional
services firm with a client base including major multinational companies. Dennis has also managed the tax functions of large gold
 mining, engineering & construction management and cement manufacturing companies, all with expatriate employees and tax

In addition to experience in tax return preparation and tax planning for expatriate individuals, Dennis has managed the tax
equalization program and the relocation "gross-up" progam for a major multinational engineering and construction management
company. This included calculating the U.S. and foreign income tax on expatriates, and the effecto of tax equalization on project bids.
Dennis also has extensive experience representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service and other taxing authorities.

  • Tax return preparation of U.S. Federal tax returns for expatriate U.S. taxpayers, with goal of maximizing the various exclusions (earned income and housing) and credits available. I may be retained by either the company or the employee and for one return or for large groups of these employees.
  • Consulting with expatriate taxpayers before, during and after their overseas assignment to optimize their overall tax position.
  • Assistance with establishing or maintaining tax equalization programs for corporations.  If you wish to out-source your tax equalization program, I will do that for you.
  • Assistance with the Foreign Bank Account Reporting (FBAR) requirements.
  • Through our association with a firm specializing in insurance for individuals outside of the U.S., expatriate insurance products for key employees - including life, medical, terrorism, kidnap & ransom and selected other products for individuals and groups.
